    Playa Las Tortugas has a wonderful climate from the end of October through the beginning of June. The summer weather is sunny, humid and hot.

  • Flights and Airport.

    Puerto Vallarta airport has direct flights from many US, Canadian and Mexican cities. The airport is very easy to navigate and well-organized.

  • Airport Transportation.

    You can choose our car service or rent a vehicle at the airport. The car service is $360 and includes to/from the airport and seats seven. Rental car rates are comparable to the US and are located just across the street from the airport terminal.

  • Things to be Aware of

    Before your stay please review these items to ensure a flawless, peaceful vacation. You know, things like falling coconuts and bumpy roads.

  • How to Book La Villa Reyes.

  • Groceries.

    There is a Mega grocery story on the way to Playa Las Tortugas from the airport, so buying what you need is fairly simple. There is no store at Playa Las Tortugas so this is your best option. It’s also fun to stop at the fruit stand in San Isidro for fresh, local, in-season fruit.

  • Internet.

    La Villa Reyes has free high-speed internet. You will be able to run Zoom calls and stream movies with no problem or lag.

  • Meals.

    We recommend reserving Maria as your chef during your stay. This ensures you can focus on relaxing instead of cooking, cleaning and shopping. Her menu also contains authentic Mexican foods so it will enhance your overall experience.

    You of course can also cook all or some of your meals. Just stop at the grocery store upon arriving in Puerto Vallarta.

  • Day Trips.

    There are many fascinating day trips you can take from Playa Las Tortugas. There is a note card in the villa with details and pricing. You can book Mario’s car service for your trip, if you like.

  • Directions

    Whether you’re driving from the Puerto Vallarta Airport or Guadalajara, getting to Playa Las Tortugas is relatively simple.

  • Medical Care

    Playa Las Tortugas is fairly remote which means medical care is not immediately available within the community.

    For minor medical needs there is a pharmacy and clinic in Zacualpan (40 minutes away), but they are only open during business hours.

    For more complicated medical issues Hospital Basico Comunitario Las Varas (55 minutes away) or Hospital Real Nayar in La Peñita (1:10 away and open 24 hours) are the best places to go.
